Counselling Psychologist
Dr Cassandra Ngo
Cassandra Ngo is a Counselling Psychologist working in the NHS and private sector. She has worked in different NHS settings, including primary and secondary care services as well as other settings such as clinical health psychology services. She has extensive experience of working with adolescents and adults, including inpatient and outpatient mental health services.
Cassandra completed a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience at King’s College London, a Master’s degree in Psychology at Regent’s University before pursuing a doctorate in Counselling Psychology. She is involved in a research project understanding the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on grief and bereavement.
Cassandra is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through her work, she supports individuals to develop a better and more in-depth understanding of their emotions and behaviours. She helps to develop strategies to manage difficult or uncomfortable feelings and to change undesirable patterns of behaviour. She believes in the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship and its role in therapy. She works in partnership with clients to support them in working towards a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and meaningful.
